PHILADELPHIA'S 27 AUGUST 2018 OBSERVANCE OF 2018 NATIONAL MILLION FATHER MARCH UNDER LEADERSHIP OF HOUSE OF UMOJA, INC.

Led by the House of Umoja, Inc. (www.houseofumoja.net), the City of Philadelphia's Coordinator for the 2018 National Million Father March (www.blackstarproject.org), Fathers of children attending public schools throughout the City of Philadelphia, on Monday, 27 August 2018, escorted them to school, met with the principal and teachers of their child's school, and obtained a copy of their child's roster and their child's school's calendar for the academic year.  For public schools in Philadelphia, the 2018-2019 academic year began on Monday, 27 August. 2018.  The 2018-2019 academic year for Philadelphia's charter school begins on Tuesday, 4 September 2018.
