TRINIDAD AND TOGAGO -- Is there a direct correlation between the socialization of
the 3.8 billion souls who are males throughout our global village and their
greater susceptibility to contracting and dying from COVID-19 than their female
counterparts? Will rewriting the narrative on masculinity and strength for Men
and Boys help to dramatically improve their collective physical, spiritual,
emotional, and psychological health?
What role does poverty, homelessness, intergenerational incarceration,
ethnic and religious intolerance, violence, hunger, and spiritual, emotional,
and psychological toxicity play in endangering our world’s health and safety? On Sunday, 1 November 2020, leaders of the Global Interfaith Community will join
individuals, organizations, and institutions throughout our global village in observing
the International Day Of Prayer for Men and Boys under the theme, “The
World’s Health And Safety”, a component of the International Men’s Day
Interfaith Initiative (http://www.usa internationalmensday.blogspot.com). Leaders of the Global Interfaith Community,
individuals, organizations, and institutions will utilize the
“International Day Of Prayer for Men and Boys” as a collaborative
platform to identify, design, implement,
and support holistic solutions that increase the survival rate for Men and Boys
who contract COVID-19; improve the spiritual, psychological, and emotional
health of Men and Boys; and create a healthier and safer world by reducing and
eradicating poverty, homelessness,
intergenerational incarceration, ethnic and religious intolerance, violence,
hunger, and spiritual, emotional, and psychological toxicity.
Inaugurated
on Sunday, 14 November 2014, the International
Day of Prayer for Men and Boys, a component of the International Men’s
Day Interfaith Initiative, serves as a platform from which the Global
Interfaith Community, individuals, organizations, and institutions can
collaboratively create a world that is healthy and safe – not just for Men and
Boys – but for all souls. The International
Day Of Prayer For Men and Boys is a “Call To Action” to create a
spiritually, psychologically, and emotionally vibrant world and to infuse hope
and certainty into global communities traumatized by hopelessness and
uncertainty.
