NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED FATHERHOOD PRACTITIONER COACH STEVAN LYNN TAPPED AS NEW YORK (USA) REGIONAL COORDINATOR FOR INTERNATIONAL MEN'S DAY

 


         Nationally acclaimed Fatherhood Practitioner, founder of the Fatherhood Training Center in South Bronx, New York, former football coach, and father of two  Coach Stevan Lynn has been tapped as the New York (USA) Regional Coordinator for International Men’s Day (http://www.usa internationalmens day.blogspot.com) which is observed on 19 November of each year. Celebrated  in approximately 89 nations, 2020 International Men’s Day will be observed on Thursday, 19 November 2020 under the theme, “Healthy Minds And Bodies”.  Coach Lynn is the point of contact for all individuals, organizations, and institutions wishing to participate in International Men’s Day.   Inaugurated in November 1999 by Gender Issues Thought Leader, faculty member in the History Department at the University of West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, and prolific author Jerome Teelucksingh, Ph.D., International Men’s Day is a global grassroots movement, International Men’s Day celebrates and honors the contributions and selfless sacrifices that Men – everyday Men – make to families, communities, and society.  It shares a 48-hour partnership with Universal Children’s Day which is observed worldwide on 20 November of each year and is endorsed by the United Nations.  

            Coach Lynn’s pioneering work on Fatherhood spans two decades.    He is the architect of Deeds Driven Dads (http://deedsdrivendads.com); author of a Fatherhood column published in The Bronx Chronicle (www.thebronxchronicle.com); founder of the Fatherhood Training Center (https://www.fathers4progress.org/); and host of an award-winning television show, “Dare2Dream: A Father’s Guide To Success”.   Inspired by his own journey as a father, through Deeds Driven Dads, the former football coach provides Fathers with a plethora of training that ranges from and is not limited to Responder Emergency Training, curriculum vita writing skills to changing diapers, cooking, and hair grooming.  Equipped with a computer lab, a library, fine arts center, fitness, and a kitchen, the Fatherhood Training Center is located in South Bronx in New York.  It is where Fathers learn how to bond with their child and to take care of their basic needs and receive educational and employment assistance along  with a suit for a job interview. Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Antigua, Dominica are among the venues where Fathers have been empowered by Coach Lynn’s Fatherhood programs.  Having already established a presence in South Central, San Diego, and Long Beach, Fatherhood programs designed and facilitated by Coach Lynn have been slated for expansion in the West Coast of the United States prior to COVID-19, with Hawaii to Oakland targeted for support.
